CNCC Teaching Philosophy

Cape Neddick Country Club offers a variety of ways to help improve all aspects of your game. Our main objective is to help players reach their potential by teaching the core fundamentals of the swing, short game, and rules & etiquette. This year we will be offering the following: the Golf Academy at CNCC, the York Park & Recreation Clinics, and Ladies Day Clinics. These clinics are designed to improve all aspects of your game and develop core fundamentals for a consistent golf swing and putting stroke. One of our most important goals is to keep the instruction process “simple” and provide handouts to students after each lesson. It’s a three step process to learning and improving your game. First, you must take some instruction, second you must practice and finally, you implement everything to the course and Play. At the Golf Academy at CNCC you can do all three in a fun and friendly environment. We concentrate on the core fundamentals of the game to develop a solid foundation for your golf swing.

The Ladies Day Clinics are designed to help you progressively build your game one week at a time at an affordable price of $20 per clinic for members, $25 for public. The clinics are limited to Ladies ages 14 and up only. Taking a 30 minute clinic every  Ladies Day will allow you one weeks practice time between lessons to work on the topic for the week. Clinics are every Wednesday in June starting at 1:00 PM.

The Golf Academy at CNCC is designed for beginner to intermediate golfers to build core fundamentals for their golf swing at an affordable price of $20 per clinic for members, $25 for public. The clinics will start on the first Wednesday in August. The Adult Clinics will run every Wednesday and Junior Clinics will be every Thursday from 5:00-6:00 PM. This will give the option of two separate offerings.

We also offer Individual and group instruction if the clinic schedule or setting does not work for you. Whatever your age and ability, we can help if there is a part of your game where you’re struggling. Please let Cape Neddick County Club help you; we work with each individual based on his or her size, athletic ability, experience, age, etc. We have a two-tiered grass driving range that holds 16-20 players leaving plenty of room to work on your full swing and short game. For those rare times that the grass is not open we have installed a state of the art artificial grass you put tees into. At Cape Neddick, we believe in creating new habits not “breaking old ones”. By teaching the core fundamentals and practicing the drills we use new proper habits are developed and the old ones disappear.
